Flannel Lovin'

NewLook Top, Zara Boyfriend Jeans, Abercrombie & Fitch Flannel, Pull & Bear Bag, NewLook Heeled Sandals, Nixon Watch

Always finding myself wearing male-oriented pieces whilst adding a touch of femininity to the mix. Exhibit A - flannel shirt and boyfriend jeans. I feel like it's just the right balance between fashion and comfort, which is easily my motto every time I get dressed every morning because when you go to fashion school and on your last semester, you most likely have already mastered dressing yourself in a way that is physically relaxed yet still at least look like you're not lying about the fact that you are a fashion business major. Fun fact - my hair never really gets brushed because one, I somehow always misplace my hairbrush and two, it's counterproductive. My hair turns into a lion-head when it gets in contact with any type of hair-taming tool, so why bother?

Skater Chic

Mango t-shirt, Stradivarius skater skirt, Nike sneaker wedges, Abercrombie denim vest, Aldo necklace, Nixon watch

It is imperative that every girl has a skater skirt in their wardrobe (in black, at least) because it is such an easy and timeless piece to style your daily outfits around! As you can see, I paired it with a lousy t-shirt (wore it as a pajama top once, no shame) and some sneaker wedges. Of course, if you swap the nikes for some heeled sandals, you could transition your outfit from day into night in literally just a click *insert heels clicking sound effect here* away (leave the denim for office hours though). I honestly cannot tell you how old this denim vest is as it was purchased during the denim jacket fever years (aka half a decade ago) and indeed I have gotten more than a thousand uses out of it. I am quite ecstatic that I now can squeeze in time to do fashion blogging again. I have always enjoyed writing but I have to admit I seldom practice it. Nevertheless, that is not good enough of an excuse to abandon this blog because I have always stuck by the rule that if something is important to me, I will make time for it.

P.s Last Night NeonBlush saved my life. (lame reference to my t-shirt in hopes of adding relevance to what i'm wearing)

My Lucky Shirt

So, I have finally collected enough courage to start a fashion blog. After countless times of self- contemplation regarding whether or not I wanted to do this, this morning I woke up and decided that I'm doin' it... yep, this girl is jumping in the blogger bandwagon (woot!).

Since it's car-free day every Sunday here in Jakarta (well, only Sudirman area to be exact), my friend (whom by the way took these lovely pictures, thanks Anggi!) and I took advantage of the car-less streets. Okay fine, maybe it was mostly me who enjoyed every second of it but really though, Jakarta's nickname should be 'Traffic Town' because the traffic truly never does die down, so it's nice to have one day out of the week (more like from 7-11 AM) where pedestrians can actually enjoy walking, or running... or ya know, whatever floats their boat.

This upcoming week is a week dedicated to the dreaded exams. Huff. #collegestudentprobs. I gotta admit, I can be a hypocrite when it comes to outfit-repeating but I swear to you if it were fashionably legal (and not to mention hygienic) for me to wear this lucky t-shirt back to back for a whole week, I most definitely would. Not because the shirt simply has anything to do with being lucky, of course. That's it for now!
